Oli Babington’s incredible goal went viral, and people call it the best “non-league goal ever scored”. Even FIFA has called it a contender for this year’s Puskas Awards.
Previously this year, the Puskas Awards were presented. Here, Erik Lamela’s rabona goal won, which he scored in the North London derby against Arsenal in March 2021 when he played for Tottenham.
Now it already looks like we've found the winner of this year's Puskas Award. And it’s recorded with a Veo camera. Oli Babington of Clevedon Town AFC scored an unbelievable goal when his non-league North Somerset team played Buckland Athletic and won 4-2 away from home.
In the video, we see Clevedon Town AFC try to play through Buckland Athletic, but the ball gets cleared by a defender. It goes high up in the air and out to the right, where Babington meets it with an unbelievable volley and fires the ball into the top left goal corner.
Last Monday, the #Puskas Award winner was crowned.
